Jamia Hamadard was established in 1989 and it was granted the status of deemed to be a University under section 3 of university Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956. Jamia Hamdard has made commendable progress with regard to expansion of facilities for higher learning and diversification of teaching and research programmes in frontier areas of biological sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, information technology and mangement. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of UGC has accredited the university under category 'A'. Jamia hamdard is been ranked one of the best university of Delhi. In order to provide opportunity to student for participating in on going revolution in the country, the university has taken initiative to take advantage of advances in education and to promote education through adopting flexible and innovative methods to ensure 'Independent Learning to anyone, anytime and anywhere. The courses are directly offered by university through our study center.
